The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, February 15, 2009, of Mary F. MacLeod R.N. of Charlottetown, in her 62nd year. Dear sister of Allan (Heather) MacLeod, Doug (Beverly) MacLeod, Pembroke, Ont., George MacLeod, Debbie (George) Heald, Joyce (Mike) White, Bruce (Gerri) MacLeod and Joanie MacLeod, all of Charlottetown. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, one grandnephew, cousins and special friends, BooBoo and Buddy. Predeceased by her parents Mary (nee Prowse) and Raymond MacLeod and siblings (infant twins) Carol and Paul and Karen and Pauline. Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Wednesday morning then transferred to St. Dunstan\'s Basilica for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment later in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the P.E.I. Humane Society. Visiting hours at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Charlottetown Nurses Alumni will hold a prayer service at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Online condolences may be made at www.islandowned.ca.
