Margaret Christina Johnston 1929-2001 Margaret Christina Johnston, 72, of Riverview and formerly of Hopewell Cape passed away suddenly in Saskatcwan while visiting her daughter, on Thursday, December 27,2001. She was born on January 8, 1929 in Bell Grove, Victoria County. She was the daughter of the late Axel and Gladys (Brayall) Sorensen. She was a homemaker and attended the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Hillsborough, belonged to the Anglican Church Women , the Lower Cape Women's Institute. She was also a member of the Kool Kapers Seniors Club. She was active in her community and always there when needed. She was a beloved mother and grandmother who will be deeply missed by son, George Johnston (Evelyn) of Hillsborough; her daughter, Ruth Lipp (Peter) of Saskatchewan; four grandchildren, Kimberley Johnston, Kory Johnston, Thomas Clements, Pamela Clements. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, Preston Guthery Johnston, who passed away in August 2001; two brothers, Hans and Kenneth; a great grandson, Joseph. The remains will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home, with visitation on Monday evening from 7-9pm. The service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on January 1, 2001 at 2pm with Rev. Albert Snelgrove officiating. Interment will be held in the Mountain View Cemetery, Lower Cape, in the spring. Following the service the family will be meeting with relatives and friends at the funeral home for further fellowship and refreshments.
