Claude Arsenault 1954-2002 Claude Arsenault, 47 years, common law husband of Irene Arsenault of Dieppe, passed away Friday, January 25, 2002 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Aldouane, NB, he was the son of Marie (Boucher) Arsenault and the late Gonzague Arsenault. Mr. Arsenault was a Correctional Officer in Dorchester and Renous, a member of U.C.O. and a member of the Newcastle Legion. He is survived by his wife Irene; mother, Marie; one daughter, Renée Arsenault, Dieppe; one son, Lamond (Sophie), Moncton; two sisters, Claudette Simmons (Jim), Leominster, MA, Martha Robichaud (Alfred), Aldouane; three brothers, Fernand (Huguette), Lunenburg, MA, Donald (Janice), Dieppe, Gerry (Cindy), Oxvard, California, several nieces and nephews. Besides his father, he was predeceased by his step-father, Hervé LeBlanc. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation Saturday 7-9; Sunday 2-4, 7-9; Monday 9:00 AM until time of funeral. Funeral Mass will be held Monday, January 28, 2002 at 11:00 AM at St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto with Father Michel Mercier officiating.
