BICKFORD, Peter Wm. — Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Walter Templeman Hospital in his 70th year, after a short illness. Predeceased by his father and mother, William J. Bickford and Deborah Pitts, brother Corbert and sister Mary (both at infancy). He was a dedicated teacher of 30 years and will be forever missed by his family, friends and many students. Leaving to mourn is his wife Gladys of forty years, his daughter Tammy (Emile) Shone residing in Winnipeg and son Peter (Nancy) residing in Grande Prairie, AB. Two grandchildren, Jared and Hayden. Sister Marie (Kearley) Dicks (Lloyd), nieces Lynn (Louie) Carbage, Debbie (Donovan) Molloy, Colleen (Tony) Manning, Bonnie Jean (Jason) Hicks. Brother Freeman (Beth), nephew Billy (Kyla), niece Jennine. Mother-in-law Mary (Molloy), Windsor, and her family Pierce (Alice), Francis (Robert), Elizabeth (Don), Eileen (Teed), Marilyn (Albert), Sonya (Renie), Gary (Michelle), Maurice (Elaine), Shawn (Allison), Dot, Wally, Jerome, George (Kit) and their families. Only surviving aunt Triffie Reid. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations can be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation. Visitation at Pendergast’s Funeral Home on Feb. 15, 2009, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and Feb. 16, 2009, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, Feb 17, 2009 at 2 p.m. at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lance Cove, Bell Island.
