Francis Joseph “Joe” Walsh, 80 of 221 Abercrombie Road, New Glasgow, died Sunday, February 15, 2009, in the Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, NS, he was the son of the late John James and Catherine Jane (Campbell) Walsh.
He lived most of his life in New Glasgow, except for 10 years in Ontario. He was employed as a plumber during his working years.
He is survived by a sister, Mary Catherine Chalker, Riverton, and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, the former Elizabeth Pauline Arsenault; brothers: Angus, Robert, John, Peter and Bernie.
Cremation has taken place. No visitation or funeral services by request.
A private graveside committal service will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery, New Glasgow, at a later date.
Donations in memory of Joe may be made to the Holy Cross Cemetery Fund.
Arrangements are under the direction of the H.W. Angus Funeral Home, New Glasgow.
