Passed away peacefully at the nursing home in Montreal on January 27, 2009 at the age of 91.
Sophie was predeceased by her husband, Michael; sister of the late Katie, Mary, Helen, Ann, Charlotte, Minnie, Pauline and her brother, Johnny.
Survived by her sisters, Eva Kandravy and Olga Simko of Montreal and her brother, Peter Bachansci of Miami, Florida. She will be remembered by her many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place in Montreal, burial and services will take place at a later date in Sydney, N.S.
