Joseph Robert Earl (Bobby) Hudson 1935 - 2002 SOUTH BRANCH, NB - Joesph Robert Earl (Bobby) Hudson, 66, husband of Frances (McDonald) Hudson, South Branch, NB, passed away at Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent, Thursday April 4, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint John, NB, he was the son of the late William Hudson and Beatrice (Woods) Hudson. He retired from the Department of Transportation after 30 years. He attended St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, South Branch. He was a former member of the Knight's of Columbus. He was a member of the Rexton Lion's Club for over 30 years where he had received the Melvin Jones Award. He is survived by his wife Frances Hudson; one son, Aaron (Sheila Bourque), South Branch; three sisters, Shirley Drover, St. Norbert, Carol Beers (Terry), South Branch, June Hebert (Gordon), Calgary, AB; 1 brother, Allan (Gloria), Moncton; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one granddaughter, Alexandra and one brother, George. Resting at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto with visiting hours Saturday 2 to 4, 7 to 9, Sunday 2 to 4, 7 to 9, Monday 9:00am until time of funeral. A prayer vigil will be held at the funeral home on Sunday evening at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, South Branch on Monday April 8, 2002 at 11:00 am with Father J. B. Mallais officiating. Interment at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society or donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
