Mrs. Alice M. Thompson
Mrs. Alice M. Thompson 1908 - 2002 Miramichi, NB - Mrs. Alice Margaret Thompson, widow of the late George N. Thompson, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Napan, passed away at her residence, on Wednesday, April 10, 2002, at the age of 93. Born in Center Napan, on May 29, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Clifford and Harriett (McLaughlin) Dickson. She was a homemaker, a life member of Carmel United Church, Napan, a life member of the Carmel Unit of the U.C.W., a member of the Golden Circle Senior Citizens Club. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Anna Dickson (Roland), Mrs. Margaret Ashford, and Mrs. Macrena Jardine (Ralph), all of Napan; five sons, Robert (Beryl), of Wellfield, Russell (Ruby), of Miramichi, Joseph (Margie), Wayne (Joyce) and Paul (Jackie), all of Napan; one sister, Mrs. Florence Jardine, of Miramichi; thirty grandchildren; thirty-eight great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, George, in 1961; one son, Neil Thompson; one grandson, Joseph Alexander Thompson; one sister, Mrs. Josie Dickson; one brother Mack Dickson. Remains are resting at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., with visiting on Thursday evening, from 7 to 9pm and Friday, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Carmel United Church, on Saturday, April 13, 2002, at 3pm, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Extra Mural Nursing Program, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
