(Tony) After a brief battle with cancer, Tony (age 61) passed away July 17, 2008, at the Ottawa General Hospital. Born in Cape Broyle and former resident of St. John's, Tony lived in Gatineau, QC for the past 12 years. Survived by his partner Brian Grant of Gatineau, QC; son Steve (Krista Giles) of Ottawa; daughter Susan Scott (Sean) of St. John's; grandchildren: Erika and Matthew Scott and Haley O'Brien; sister Marguerite O'Brien of St. John's and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. At Tony's request, no visitation will be held, but family and friends are invited to a memorial service being held in St. John's at Caul's Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, August 8th at 10:30 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in his memory.
