Frederick Edison Carter 1915-2002 LAKETON, NB -Frederick Edison Carter, 87, husband of Beatrice (Hebert) Carter of Laketon, NB passed away at La Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent, on Wednesday May 8, 2002 after a lengthy illness. Born in Kouchibouguac, NB, son of the late James Carter and Mary (Clark) Carter. He had retired from the Department of Transportation and was a truck driver and farmer and attended St. James Roman Catholic Church, Kouchibouguac. He is survived by his wife Beatrice; two daughters, Jean Hebert (Raymond), Joyce Cormier (Eddie), both of Moncton; three sons, Ivan (Joyce) of Bathurst, Fred (Claudine) of Laketon, Bill (Mariette) of St. Louis de Kent; 14 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was predeceased by his first wife Josie (Daigle) Carter; a son Edison; a daughter Theresa; three sisters, Vera Moses, Pearl Mazerolle, Lillian Russell and a brother Jim. Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent, Thursday from 7 to 9, Friday from 1:30 until departure. Funeral Mass at St .James Roman Catholic Church, Kouchibouguac Friday, May 10, 2002 at 4pm, Father J.B. Mallais officiating. Interment in the Parish cemetery. If so desired, donations to the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Red Cross would be appreciated by the family. Arrangements are in the care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto, (523-4252).
