Evelyn Theresa Stevens The death of Evelyn Theresa Stevens, wife of Earle of Salisbury Road, Moncton occurred following a brief illness at home on Friday, June 7, 2002. Born in Goshen, NB on August 9, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Johanna (Hourihan) Purtill. Evelyn had attended Holy Family Church where she was a member of the Catholic Women's League. She is survived by her husband Earle as well as her daughters Jean Cormier (Marty) of Moncton, Karen Stewart (Marty) of Taymouth, NB and Judy Smal (Don) of Fredericton; her sons Paul (Carol) of Brockville, ON, Chris (Shelley) of Lower Coverdale, Robert (Martha) of Hampden Maine; four sisters, Nellie Dyker (Hedley) of Saint John, Francine O'Donnell of Norton, Jean Murphy (Richard) of Moncton and Merle Kierstead (Arthur) of Saint John; 16 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother Carson and sister Mary Sullivan. Visiting at Fair Haven Funeral Home (852-3530) 1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton, Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday June 10, at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church, Falkland Avenue, Moncton. Following Mass there will be a reception in the church hall.
