HISCOCK, Nora B. – Passed peacefully away at Pentecostal Senior Citizen’s Home, Clarke’s Beach on Sunday, February 15, 2009, Mrs. Nora B. Hiscock of Clarke’s Beach (formerly of Carbonear), aged 92 years. Predeceased by parents John and Catherine Chubbs (nee James); husband Harry; son John Edgar. Leaving to mourn sons: Harry (Donna), James (Noella); daughters: Hazel (Albert) Snow, Doris (Dale) Noel, Louise (Newman) Petten, Linda (Nelson) Oates, Joyce (Calvin) Crane, Titania (Roy) Mercer; brother Charles Chubbs; brothers-in-law: Raymond (Violet) Hiscock, Harris (Karen) Hiscock; sisters-in-law: Ida (Roy) Clarke, Harriet (Hunter) Deering; twenty-three grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Moore’s Funeral Home, Clarke’s Beach. Visitation Monday 7-9 p.m., Tuesday 10-12 noon, 2-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m., Wednesday 10-12 noon. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Pentecostal Tabernacle, Clarke’s Beach. Interment in the Pentecostal Cemetery, Clarke’s Beach.
