At his home in Cornwall on Tuesday, February 17, 2009, of Fredrick A. Gallant, age 79 years. Father of Donna (George) Vasilou, Florida; Richard, Toronto, Ont.; Judy (Reg) Hyde, Truro, N.S.; Nancy (Brian) McCabe, West Covehead; Katherine (Khalil) Al-Mughrabi, Florenceville, N.B. Brother of Clair John (Minnie), Kingston, Ont.; Doris (Mark) Griffin, Ontario; Delma (Ray) Botts, O’Leary; Dianne (Larry) Davis, Ontario, Jean MacDougall (Clare predeceased), O’Leary; and brother-in-law of Fred Jones, O’Leary. Survived by his eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth (nee Daigle); by his parents, Olive and John Francis Gallant of Howlan, P.E.I.; and by his sisters, Margaret and Florence. Resting at the Belvedere Funeral Home from where the memorial service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday at 10 a.m. Interment in St. Martins of Tours and St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, Cumberland.
