Yvon Poirier 1926 -2003 ST. LOUIS DE KENT, NB - Yvon Poirier, 77, of St. Louis de Kent, NB passed away suddenly at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent on Monday, February 10, 2003. Born in St. Louis de Kent, NB, son of the late Pierre Poirier and the late Elizabeth (Poirier) Poirier. He was retired, he had worked as a Woodsman and Farmer. He was a member of the St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent. He is survived by three daughters, Mariette Poirier (Steve Carruthers), Chapel Point, Vivianne Poirier, Edmonton, Alberta, Liette Pineo (Chris), Porter's Lake, Nova Scotia; three sons, Maurice (Marie-Paule Johnson), Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, Yves (Mona Daigle), Aldouane, Alain (Nichole Guimond), St. Louis de Kent; one sister, Alfreda Frigault, Dennis Port, Mass; former wife, Jeanette (Gallant) Poirier; and 11 grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers, Arthur and Armand. Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent, NB with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm and Thursday 9:00 am until time of funeral. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church, St. Louis de Kent on Thursday, February 13, 2003 at 11:00 am. Interment in the Parish Cemetery in the spring.
