Mildred "Millie" LeBlanc IRISHTOWN, NB - Mildred "Millie" LeBlanc, 76, wife of Aldric "Al" LeBlanc, of Irishtown, passed away peacefully at her home, Thursday, February 13, 2003 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 10, 1926 in Quincy, MA, she was the daughter of the late Aurèle Goguen, and the late Régina Poirier. She was a devoted wife, and mother having raised eight children. She had a lifetime devotion to her church, and helping the underprivileged. Fishing and gardening were her favorite outdoor activities. She will be well remembered by her husband of 57 years Aldric "Al" LeBlanc; three daughters, Ruth Pierce of Naples, FL, Maria Lorna Sorensen of Riverview, Irene LeBlanc (Jacques) of Upperton, NB; a son, Clarence Melanson (Cheryl) of Inuvik, NWT; five sisters, Thérèse Léger (Norman), Cécile McGraw, and Mary McDuff (Gerald) all of Moncton, Jeannette Léger of Memramcook, Norma Cormier (Raymond) of Cocagne; two brothers, Désiré of Moncton, Joe (Carol) of Irishtown; 18 grandchildren; three grandchildren; several nieces, and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughters, Annette, Louise, Francine; son, Paul; sisters, Geneva Melanson, Germaine Wedge, Irène Doucette; brothers, Reginald, and Gérard. Remains resting at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). Visiting hours Saturday from 7-9 p.m., Sunday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m., Monday from 9:30 until time of departure (10:35). The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, February 17, 2003 at St-Lawrence O'Toole Roman.Catholic Church, Irishtown. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. At the request of the family, memorial donations to the Friends of The Moncton Hospital Foundation (Oncology) would be appreciated.
