Ernest A. LeBlanc 1902 - 2003 SHEDIAC, NB - The death of Mr. Ernest A. LeBlanc, aged 100, of Pleasant St., Shediac occurred at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Monday, March 17, 2003 after a brief illness. Born December 10, 1902, in Moncton, he was the son of the late Aimé and Marie-Louise (Gallant) LeBlanc. He was employed by the Canadian National Railway as a carman until he retired in 1962. He served several years on the Shediac Town Council, played in the town band for many years, was a member of the St. Joseph's Church Choir and was a founding and active member of the Boishébert Club. He is survived by his sons, Ernie Jr. of Sun Lakes, Arizona, Larry of La Quinta, California and Ronald (Pauline) of Moncton; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; his brother, Leon (Mary) of Shediac; and his sister, Justine LeBlanc of the Villa Providence, Shediac. He was predeceased by his wife, Carrie (Pawk) LeBlanc; a son, Vincent; and five brothers, Aurel, Henri, Joe, Paul and Gerald LeBlanc. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of departure at 9:50a.m. The Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Shediac on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at 10a.m. A reception will follow at the Boishébert Club, in Shediac, after the funeral. Interment in the parish cemetery. For those who wish, the family has suggested donations to the charity of your choice.
