Gladys Ada Steeves PETITCODIAC, NB - Gladys Ada Steeves of Old Post Road, Petitcodiac, passed away at the Dr. George L. Dumont Hospital on Tuesday, March 18, 2003. She was born in Pictou, NS on April 27, 1924 and was the daughter of the late William and Effie (Clarke) Thompson. She attended the Wheaton Settlement Baptist Church, she was a former member of the Petitcodiac Arts Class 1983-1993, a member of the Petitcodiac Senior Citizens Club and the Salisbury Merry Makers. Gladys was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Ainsley Steeves; a daughter, Audrey MacKillop (Ron Corey) of Parkindale; three grandchildren, Robert MacKillop (Karen), Lisa MacKillop and Lori Hare; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a sister, Verna Fraser; and six brothers, Charles, William, Raymond, Walter, Donald and Ralph. The Funeral Service will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home, 33 Russell Street, Petitcodiac on Friday, March 21 at 2:00 pm. Visiting hours will be from 9:00 am until the time of service on Friday at the Funeral Home. The interment will take place at Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.
