(Val) J. Passed away suddenly at the Health Sciences Centre on Sunday, August 3, 2008, Valentine (Val) J. Mahon, aged 69 years, a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. Predeceased by his parents Annie and John; brothers: John, Gerald and Paddy and sisters: Mercedes and Marie. Left with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend Kay; daughter Valerie St. Croix (Darrell) and grandchild Kalan; two sons: Todd (Katie), grandchildren: Cody and Jared and David (Nicole); three step-children: Lawrence Hookey (Dorene) and grandchildren: Ryan and Liam; Juanita Hodder (Shandy) and Christina Hookey and grandchild Nathan; brothers: Gus (Shirley), Leo (Hos), Frank (Marg) and Ron (Madonna); sisters: Bernice and Dolly (Walter); also his best friend and confidant John Crocker; special little buddy Jake and his friends of Bill W., as well as other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Tuesday from 3 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Thursday, August 7, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Thomas of Villanova Church, Topsail.
