SHAYNE HANNA
(August 24, 1977 - February 16, 2009)
Shayne passed away unexpectedly at his home in Cranbrook, B.C. on February 16, 2009. He was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta where he attended Ross Glen South School. In 1984 Shayne, Blain and Cheryl moved to Moose Jaw where he attended Palliser Heights Elementary and graduated from Peacock College. He then enrolled at Palliser Institute and successfully completed the Welding Program. In 1997 Shayne was employed by CP Railway where he worked in Moose Jaw, Windsor and Cranbrook. He was an outdoors man who loved living in Cranbrook where the fishing and hunting were just outside his doorstep. Shayne was a lover of all living creatures with bearded dragons being his latest passion. Predeceased by his grandparents Murray and Dorothy Bolton and Harold and Evelyn Hanna, Shayne is lovingly remembered by his mother Cheryl Hanna, step-father Ron Brown, his father Milton Hanna, brother Blain Hanna; step-sisters: Laurie Delisle (Rick), Jody Brown, and Carrie Ross (Jay). He will also be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and numerous cousins. Shayne also had many friendships both near and far that were special to him.
No farewell words were spoken,
No time to say goodbye.
You were gone before we knew it,
And only God can tell us why.
A Celebration of Shayne's life will be held on Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the W. J. Jones & Son Funeral Chapel, 106 Athabasca St. E., Moose Jaw. Della Ferguson will officiate.
