MELNYK, TONY.... Passed away suddenly in Penticton, BC at the age of 56 years, on Feb 6, 2009. Left to cherish his memory is his sister Jayne Mathiason, of Prince Albert, Sk, and her three children Matthew of Victoria BC, Landis of Prince Albert and Jilleen and her son Aeden, both of Prince Albert, Sk.; niece Erin (nee Melnyk of BC), and nephew Clayton Melnyk of BC. He was predeceased by brother Lawrence Melnyk (and his daughter Cathy Melnyk) of Saskatoon (formerly of Vancouver BC), his father Nick Melnyk of Vancouver BC and mother Norma Towill of Prince Albert, Sk, formerly of Vancouver BC. Tony was born in Prince Albert, Sk, moving as a young child with his family to Vancouver BC where he lived before moving to Penticton BC, where he resided until his untimely passing. Tony was a fun-loving, humorous person with a soul for the arts. He has left behind many pieces of his woody art, photography, paintings, and music for all those that loved and cherished his life. He worked for Corporate Express in Vancouver and Penticton for 30 years and was employed with them until his passing. He is fondly remembered by those within the BC Interior as the Chocolate Romeo and will be forever missed by all those whose lives he touched. He left behind a beautiful legacy. He held many awards for service of Excellence throughout his career. A service of remembrance was held on Feb 10, 2009. Private Interment at Memorial Gardens at a later date.
