Mr. Cloran W. MacDonald 1930-2003 Miramichi - Mr. Cloran Wentworth MacDonald, of the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home and formerly of Bay Side, passed away at his residence, on Monday, May 19, 2003, at the age of 86. Born in Escuminac, on May 28, 1916, he was the son of the late Barclay and Elizabeth E. (MacLean) MacDonald. He was a meat cutter by trade and was self employed in both the wholesale and retail meat business. He was Christian by faith. He is survived by four daughters; Carole McKenna (Walter) of Auburn, Maine, USA, June Gillard (Dave) of Moncton, Faith McKnight of Edmonton, AB, and Vivian LaPointe (Ellard) of Pembroke, ON, two sons; Coby (Evelyn), and Kerry (Joan) all of Saint John, five sisters; Dorothy Robertson (George) of Fredericton, Eva Hanson of St. Stephen, Olive MacDonald of Moncton, Norma Dodds (Norman) of Edmonton, AB and Bunny Fowlie (Ted) of Miramichi Bay, one brother; Elwell (Valerie) of Saint John, 32 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife; Edrie F. Williston, and his second wife; Marion J. Murdock, two sons; John MacDonald and Richard MacDonald, one sister; Bertha MacDonald. Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Wednesday only, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Thursday, May 22, 2003, at 2 p.m., conducted by James Abbot and Albert Clark. Interment will be in the Bayside Christian Cemetery, Miramichi Bay. As expressions of sympathy, donation to the Mount St. Joseph Nursing Home, or any charity of the donors' choice would be appreciated by the family.
