COOPER, Alice (nee Nelson)–Passed peacefully away at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home in the presence of her loving family after a long but courageous battle with Parkinson’s on February 17, 2009, Alice Cooper (nee Nelson), aged 83 years. Alice was predeceased by her parents John Nelson and Ethel (Parsons); husband Dave; brothers Peter, Jack, George, Leonard, Tom, Albert, Magnus, Harold and Frank and sisters Anne and Mary. Leaving to mourn brother William Nelson (Amelia); daughter Carol (Vaughan Stanley); sons Dave (Jane), Bob (Val - RIP) and Gary; grandchildren Paul, Amy, Michael, Bryan, Derek and Candace; special granddaughter Amanda; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and many dear friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday 3 p.m. - 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. and Friday 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Teresa’s Church, Mundy Pond Rd., Saturday, February 21 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Parkinson’s Society.
