Melvin George Englehart 1924 - 2003 Melvin George Englehart, of Dieppe, passed away at The Dr. Georges L. Dumont Hospital on Monday, July 7, 2003 at the age 78 years. Born in Lakeburn, NB on September 23, 1924, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Katherine (Colgate) Englehart. He was retired from Canada Post after 35 years service. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the Canadian Army with the Battery of Artillery in North Africa, Cecilia, Italy, and Holland. He is survived by wife, Loretta Nelda; sisters, Hope Oulton of Riverview, Joan Whittaker of Hoyt, NB and Alma Moran (Lloyd) of Bancroft, ON; brothers, Boyd of Main River, and Mel of Robichaud Office, also by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jim and Alderson. Resting at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home 171 Lutz St. on Wednesday July 9, 2003 from 7-9pm, The Royal Candian Legion will he holding a prayer service at the funeral home Wednesday evening at 7pm. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 2 pm with Rev. Margaret Outerbridge officiating. Interment will be in Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
