Roger Locke SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Roger Locke, age 81, of Sackville, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, July 8, 2003. Roger was a veteran of World War II, serving overseas in the Canadian Army. He is an honourary member of the Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion. He was formerly employed with the Sackville Armories with 22 years of service prior to retirement. Roger will be sadly missed by his wife of 60 years, the former Helen Read, Sackville; sons, David (Linda), Point de Bute, Philip (Diane), Moncton, Allan (Darlene), Summerside, PE, Gordon (Beth), Moncton; daughters, Marlene and Ruth (Richard) Lirette, both of Sackville; grandchildren, Kelly, Jessica, Rhonda, Tanya, Christopher, Michael, Nancy, Becky, Nick and Trent and one great grandchild, Brayden. He was predeceased by a brother, Rae. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville with visitation Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Friday, July 11, 2003 at 11 am. Sackville Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a memorial service at the funeral home Thursday at 7:30 pm. Burial will be in the Sackville Cemetery.
