Alderic (Al) Joseph LeBlanc

Alderic (Al) Joseph LeBlanc 1945 - 2003 CALGARY, AB - Alderic (Al) Joseph LeBlanc of Calgary passed away suddenly on Friday, July 11, 2003 at the age of 57 years doing what he enjoyed the most - playing in a band. Always the consummate entertainer, Al was the bright light in the room, filling it with laughter, jokes, and music. He had a beautiful voice and gave everyone so many wonderful hours of pleasure as they listened to his rendition of songs by Merle Haggard, George Jones, George Strait, and the list goes on and on. The crowd favourites were "Please Release Me" and the hilarious imitation of Kitty Wells' "It Wasn't God That Made Honky Tonk Angels". Al was born in Shediac, NB on September 30, 1945. His love of music was inspired by his sister Dorine and his brother Claude. Al taught himself how to play the guitar when he was fourteen and progressed to the bass guitar which he played for "The Reivers", and his bands, "The Outlaws" and "Flashback". In 1981, Al moved his family to Edmonton and in 1985 to Calgary. On July 16, 1983, after eleven years of training to be a good spouse and father, he finally talked Judy into marrying him. Al was an auto body appraiser and worked for Safeco Insurance, Dominion Insurance, Superior Auto Body, CMP, and his most recent employer, Northside Auto Body. Al will be greatly missed by his loving wife and best friend, Judy; a daughter and son-in-law, Stephanie and Robert Boroysky; a son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Karen LeBlanc; as well as granddaughters, Jessica and Brittany Borovsky. Al will also be sadly missed by his sister and brother-in-law, Dorine and Clarence Belliveau of Shediac; a sister-in-law, Yvette (Claude) LeBlanc of Shediac; his mother-in-law, Bessie Brown of Moncton; as well as his extended family and many friends, including his special pets, Jake and Sally.
