Robert (Bob) Cameron 1925 - 2003 Robert D. Cameron, 78, a longtime resident of Downey Ave, Riverview, and a recent resident of Grass Home, Coverdale Rd, passed away at The Moncton Hospital on Sunday, August 3, 2003. Born in Fredericton, NB on May 4, 1925 he was the son of the late Robert Charles and Helen Christine (Chase) Cameron. He retired in 1990 from the former Atlantic Baptist College, Salisbury Rd, after 32 years service. He was a charter member of Riverview Baptist Church where he served faithfully for many years while his health permitted. He was also a Sunday School Teacher within the church, during WWII he served with the R.C.A.F. and was a life member of the Riverview Veterans and Armed Forces Association. In earlier years he participated in various sports and later enjoyed bowling with the Riverview Seniors. His warm hearted friendliness and sense of humor will be remembered by many. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 57 years, Luella "Lou" (Wetmore) Cameron; daughter, Karen Margaret Close (Brian) of Saint John, NB; son, Keith Cameron (Patti) of Moncton; four grandchildren, Dawn Black, Christopher Close, Brody Cameron and Emily Savage; great grandson, Ryan Black and by several nieces and nephews. He is the last surviving member of his immediate family. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Margaret Ward and brother, Donald Cameron. Resting at Riverview Funeral Home, 214 Pine Glen Road. Riverview on Tuesday, August 5, 2003 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00pm. The Riverview Veterans Association will be holding a prayer service at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 6:45pm. The funeral service will be held at Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, August 6, 2003 at 2:00pm with Rev. Jonathan Gorham Officiating. Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
