Heather Austin SACKVILLE, NB - The death of Heather Austin, age 44, wife of Barry Austin, occurred at the Sackville Hospital on Monday, Aug 11, 2003, following a brief illness. Her remains have been cremated. Born in Lafayette, Indiana, she was the daughter of Elmer and Audrey (Upton) Tory. Heather moved to Sackville at age six. She was active in sports, both as a participant in hockey, figure skating, and softball, and later as a coach for hockey. She was a perennial winner at the annual Sackville skating races during her school years. She was an active volunteer for the schools, organizing fund raising and trips for Marshview Middle School, and as a member of CPAC. She divided her time between raising her son and working in the family business. Heather will be sadly missed by her husband, Barry of Westcock; a son, Michael of Sackville; her parents, Elmer and Audrey Tory of Sackville; a brother, Kevin (Christine) Tory of Los Angeles. A time of remembrance will be held Sunday, August 17, at the Mount Allison Chapel. There will be a reception, including a light lunch, at 1:00 PM in the Manning room on the lower level of the chapel. A brief service will be held at 2:00 PM in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Sackville Memorial Hospital, the Hospital Auxiliary, or a charity of one's choice may be made.
