KENNY, John Fintan- Age 76 years of Fermeuse. Passed peacefully away in hospital on February 18, 2009, after a battle with cancer.
Predeceased by his father (John R. Kenny), Birth mother (Catherine
Dunne) & loving mom (Bridget). Leaving to mourn devoted wife & caregiver Edwina (Trainor) of 51 years; devoted children: Colleen (Robert Kind), Kelowna, B.C; Cathy (Derek Kinsella) Georgetown, Ontario; Fintan Jr. (Loretta). Fermeuse; John, St. John's; Kelly (Rod McCarthy), Yellowknife, N.W.T.; his cherished grandchildren:
Christopher, Katie & Curtis, Patrick, Rebecca & Morgan, Robyn, Jillian. Fintan was blessed to have such a supportive family, who were always there for him - Ray (Agnes), Hubert (Barb), Len (Molly), Mildred (Joseph Skiffington, deceased), Jean (Tom Bruce), Ron (Sadie), Charlie, Jerome (Karen); sisters-in-law: Belle Kenny (Aiden, deceased), Mary Kenny (Jim, deceased), Genevieve Walsh (Harold, deceased), Gertie Trainor (Leo, deceased) and brother-in-law Richard Trainor (Sheila); two special aunts Agnes Dunne and Jane Walsh, and a large circle of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. The Kenny family would like to thank all who attended to Fintan's needs over the years, Dr. McGary, Dr. Caravan, staff on 2 East-A at the Waterford Hospital, and the many kindnesses shared with his friends at Fahey's Personal Care Home. Resting at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse on Friday & Saturday from 2-9 p.m. and Sunday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Sunday, February 22, at 2:00 p.m. from St. Charles Borromeo Church, Fermeuse.
