Dale A. Somers Dale A. Somers, 68, of Moncton, passed away at his residence on Sunday, August 17, 2003. Born in Moncton, son of the late Walter and Bernice (Ritchie) Somers. Dale was a retired Superintendent with Transport Canada Eastern Region with over 30 years service, member of Brentwood United Baptist Church, former choir member, former member of The Praise Group and served his church in various committees and groups in past years. A former member of Beausejour Curling Club, he was a member of the 1971 NB Curling Team, skipped by Paul Bordage of Beausejour Curling Club at the MacDonald Briar in Quebec City. He was Governor and was made a life member of Country Meadows Golf and Curling Club. Besides curling and golfing, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and time at his camp. Dale will be sadly missed by his wife of over 42 years, Lutie (Campbell) Somers; daughters, Nancy Parker (Shawn), Moncton, Patti Blakney (Shawn), Whitby, ON; son, David, at home; grandchildren, Kayla, Alexa, Nicholas, Michael, Rachel. Funeral service will be held at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road Moncton, (858-1995) with day and time to be announced.
