Wilmot (Bill) Lewis Kilpatrick HAMPTON, NB - The death of Wilmot (Bill) L. Kilpatrick of Hampton, husband of Marie (Hanlon) Kilpatrick occurred peacefully August 31, 2003 at his residence. He was born at Upham, son of the late Walter and Irene (Reid) Kilpatrick. He was a resident of Saint John from 1947-1970 where he worked for Fowler's Transport for 14 years and Blair Construction for seven years. He moved to Hampton in 1970 and was a Heavy Equipment Operator Instructor at NBCC, Saint John for 13 years retiring in 1984. He spent his summers in Upham on the Hammond River where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening and his outdoor shuffleboard court. Bill served on the Board at Hampton United Church, was a member of The Corinthian Lodge #13, F.&A.M., and he also served on the Utilities Board for the town of Hampton for many years. He was a man of many talents and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Surviving besides his wife of 59 years are two daughters, Sharon McPherson of Hampton, Marcia Kilpatrick of Riverview; two sisters, Barbara Fowler (Don) of Upham, Pauline Kincade (Ron) of Upham; one brother, Sidney Kilpatrick of Saint John; three grandchildren, Scott Souther (Stacy Hill), Shawn McPherson (Celeste), Stacie McGarity (Michael); two great grandchildren, Devon McGarity and Haley McPherson; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Winnifred Beatty, Fannie Scott, Edna Tribe; and five brothers, Ora, Arnold, Stanley, Reginald and John. There will be no visiting by request of the family. The funeral will be held Wednesday, 2 pm, at Hampton United Church with Rev. Keith Lyons officiating. Interment in Titus Hill Cemetery, Titusville. In lieu of flowers memorials to Canadian Cancer Society or SJRH Oncology Unit would be appreciated by the family.
