Gerald Jacob
Gerald Jacob 1925 - 2003 Gerald "Jerry" Jacob, 77, of Moncton, formerly of Maine and Massachusetts, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Bouctouche, NB, he was the son of the late Désiré and the late Hélène (née: Girouard) Jacob. He had retired as a machinist in the US, was a veteran of WWII having served in the army and a member of the Legion Branch #6. He enjoyed driving his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle and horse racing. Mr. Jacob is survived by his wife, Leona (née: Cormier); two daughters, Diana of Eliot, Maine and Anita of South Carolina; two sons, Raymond (AnneMarie) of Dieppe and Francis (Florine) of South Berwick, Maine; four sisters, Thérèse (Leonard) Perron of Moncton, Agnes, Doris Dawson and Anita (Emile), all three of Montreal; two brothers, Walter (Lucille) of California and David (Imelda) of Moncton; eight grandchildren, Maurice, Melissa, Stephanie, Ann Marie, Jocelyn, Lucas, Mytchel and Monica; three great grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah and Kaylee; as well as several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, baby Walter. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Tuesday, September 9, 2003, from 7 to 9 pm and also on Wednesday from 9 am until time of service. Funeral service will be celebrated from Chartersville Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, September 9, 2003 at 11 am. Interment in NotreDame du Calvaire Cemetery, Dieppe, NB.
