Rose Black HAVELOCK, NB - Rose L. Black, 73, of Havelock , N.B. passed away peacefully Monday, September 29, 2003 at the Moncton Hospital. Born July 24, 1930 in Prosser Brook, she was a daughter of the late Allison C. and Annie R. (Geldart) Mitton. A homemaker, she was a devoted wife and mother and a member of the Prosser Brook Baptist Church. Rose will be sadly missed by her husband of 53 years Garnet; two daughters, Claudia Oglivie (Dale) of Hillgrove, Carlene Black of Apohaqui; four sons, Bernard (Rochelle), Brian, Roger (Valerie) and Glen all of Havelock; 12 grandchildren, two great grandchildren and three step grandchildren. Survived also by sisters, Josephine Crossman, Riverview, Margaret Gauvin and Lillian Black, Dieppe, Pauline Lamarre, Moncton, Gertrude Wilson (Sonny) and Irene Douthwright of Little River; sisters in law Mary Mitton, Anita Mitton, Moncton, Elberta Mitton, Prosser Brook, Lorraine Mitton of Ontario and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by a daughter, Brenda Rose; brothers, Ronald, Allison, Norman, Irvine, Clinton and adopted brother Evans. Resting at the Havelock Funeral Parlour, 19 Cross Street (534-2600) with visiting hours Tuesday, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road on Wednesday, October 1, at 2 p.m. with Rev. David Hatt officiating. Interment at Greenhill Cemetery, Havelock.
