Gabriel Galarneau 1917 - 2003 Gabriel Galarneau, 86, of Moncton, passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital. Born in Dolbeau, QC, he was the son of the late Edgar and Eugenie (née: Brassard) Galarneau. He had retired from public service as an office manager of the manpower center, was a former member of the Chevaliers de Colomb and parishioner of the NotreDame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church. Mr. Galarneau is survived by his wife, Florence (née: Tremblay) of Moncton; one son, Bernard (Sandra) of Dieppe; daughter-in-law, Raymonde Marcoux of Dieppe; three grandchildren, Christian Joel, Sébastien and Cédric as well as several nieces and nephews. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family having been predeceased by two sisters, Monique and Colette; and by two brothers, Maurice and Raphaël. Visitation will be held from the Chartersville Funeral Home, 363 Amirault Street, Dieppe, 857-1901, on Friday, October 17, 2003 from 4 to 6 and from 7 to 9 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated from Notre-Dame-de-la-Paix Roman Catholic Church (Murphy St. at Vail St.) on Saturday, October 18, 2003 at 10:30 am. Donations to The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation "Palliative Care Unit" would be appreciated by the family.
