Mr. George M. Bruce 1915-2003 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mr. George Miller Bruce, husband of Barbara Bruce, of the Veterans' Wing, of the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, and formerly of Howard St., passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Friday evening, October 17, 2003, at the age of 88. Born in Montreal, P.Q., he was the son of the late W. George and Harriet (Moore) Bruce. He was a retired employee of Henry Birk & Sons Jewelers, in Montreal. He was a Veteran of the 2nd World War, serving overseas with the Royal Canadian Air Force. Following the war he served with the R.C.A.F. at #10 A.O.S., Chatham, as a Navigation Instructor, with the rank of Flight Lt. He was a member of Branch #24/106, Royal Canadian Legion, Montreal and a member of Knox Crescent Kensington First Presbyterian Church, Montreal. He is survived by his wife, the former Barbara McKibbon; one daughter, Heather Bruce, of Miramichi; one son, Robert Bruce, of Miramichi; two grand daughters, Stephanie and Sueanne Bruce, both of Miramichi. He was predeceased by his only sister, Alice Bruce, in 2000. Visiting will be held at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, on Sunday only, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Monday, October, 20, 2003, at 1pm, conducted by Rev. Gerald Sarsen. Interment will be in the Red Bank United Church Cemetery.
