Geraldine Edna Cormier SALISBURY, NB - Geraldine (Gerry) Cormier, 79, of Salisbury passed away Monday November 24, 2003 at the Jordan Lifecare Center, The Glades. Born in Salisbury she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Blakney) Campbell. Geraldine was a retired Race secretary for the U.S.T.A (United States Trotters Association) at Fredericton, Ocean Park and Brunswick Downs and was the first female to hold that position in the Maritimes. Geraldine was a member of the River Glade Baptist Church, the Salisbury Golden Age Club , was an avid bowler and took great pride in her flower garden. She enjoyed singing and all types of music especially southern gospel. She will be sadly missed by her children, Harvey Jr. (Kathleen) Montreal, Gerald (Nancy) Anagance, Patricia Robinson (Harry) Riverview, Pamela Cormier Toronto, Wendy Boudreau (Mike), Anne Saunders (Late Donald), Marsha Hache (Donald) and Stephanie Cormier all of Moncton. Survived also by ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; sisters Evelyn Smith and Joyce Prosser of Salisbury, Marguerite Alward Charlottetown, Grace Grills and Levita Wescotte Toronto, Jean Gourley River Glade, brothers John Campbell Sussex, Gerry Campbell River Glade. Predeceased by her husband Harvey (1996), sister Madeline Johnston, brother Robert Campbell. No visiting hours by personal request. The Funeral will be Friday November 28 at 2 p.m. from the Salisbury Funeral Home Chapel, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with Pastor Douglas Howatt Officiating. Interment at Pinehill Cemetery, Salisbury. If so desired memorials to the Cancer Society or a charity of choice would be appreciated. www.keirsteads.ca
