Maria Melanson Maria Melanson, 85, of Villa de Repos, Moncton, passed away Thursday December 11, 2003 at the residence. Born January 19, 1918 in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Melanson and Bella Melanson. She was employed in accounting with CN before her retirement. She is survived by a niece, Denise; nephews, Eric and Maurice. The last survivor of her immediate family, she was predeceased by her sisters, Célinie, Fernanda, Sr. Géraldine; and her brother, Rev. Oscar Melanson. The family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, December 17, 2003 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900). The funeral mass will be held at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, December 18, 2003 at St-Louis-de-France Roman Catholic Church (Lewisville).
