Harold Wallace Carroll
Harold Wallace Carroll 1916 - 2003 Harold W. Carroll, 86, of Moncton, passed away at The Moncton Hospital in Moncton on Saturday, December 13, 2003. Born in Moncton on December 30, 1916, he was the son of the late Thomas and Laura (Murray) Carroll. He was retired from the C.N.R. with 35 years service. Harold served with the R.C.A.F. as Flight Sergeant during W.W.II. and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 Moncton. Harold loved nature, the outdoors and the shore. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and he was an Honorary Game Warden. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Anne, (Phinney) Carroll; three daughters, Patricia Johnson and her husband, Chris of Ottawa, Colleen Nisbett and her husband, Thomas of Boundary Creek and Laura Whalen and her husband, James of Moncton; six grandchildren, Gary, Darrell, Leslie, Jeff, Erin and Lindsay; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Andrew, Elizabeth, Megan and Gregory; two sisters, Shirley Touchie and her husband, Marshall of Moncton and Muriel Doucet of Moncton; and by several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sisters, Baina Gibson and Marjorie McGrath and by brothers, Murray Carroll and Clarence "Bud" Carroll. Visitation is at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home, 171 Lutz Street, Moncton on Monday, December 15, 2003 from 7 to 9 pm and on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 from 1:00 pm till the time of the funeral. The Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Bros. Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, December 16, 2003 at 2:00 pm with Fr. A. Carroll and Rev. A. Snelgrove officiating. The Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 6 will hold a veterans service Tuesday, December 16 at 1:45 pm at Tuttle Bros. Funeral Home. Interment will be in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
