Passed away suddenly at his home in Halifax on Thursday, August 7, 2008, Gerard Griffiths, age 45 years of Freshwater, P. Bay. Predeceased by his father Leo and his grandparents. He leaves to mourn his mother Margaret; brothers: Leo, Ken, Dan and Terry; sisters: Catherine (Douglas), Mary Lou (Pat), Diane (Jason); his niece Michaela; his nephews: Kyle, Justin, Tyler and Patrick; his common-law partner Sandy Deaveau and her daughter Cathy and two grandchildren: Justin and Sara Lynn; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Coombs Funeral Home, Placentia at a time to be announced. Funeral Mass to take place on Monday, August 11, 2008 at 2 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church, Freshwater. Cremation to follow.
