Louis Richard SAINTE-MARIE DE KENT, NB - Louis Richard, 90, of Foyer SaintAntoine and formerly of Sainte-Marie de Kent, husband of Léona (Cormier) Richard passed away at Foyer Saint-Antoine on Wednesday, December 31, 2003 after a brief illness. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent, January 3, 1913, he was the son of the late Napoléon Richard and Léontine Cormier. He was a farmer and black smith and was also owner of the Nowlan Telephone Line in the Sainte-Marie de Kent area. He attended Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, SainteMarie de Kent. He is survived by his wife, Léona Richard; two daughters, Ginette Cormier (Creighton) of Riverview, Yvette Déspres (Réginald) of Saint-Antoine; four sons, Jean-Paul (Jeannine), JeanGuy (Lauraine), Charles (Monique) all of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Euclide (Roberte Babineau) of Notre-Dame; one brother, Gerard (Dorilla) of Moncton; 17 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sons, Bernie, Jean; one daughter, Girène; four sisters, Marie, Rita, Girène, Yvonne and three brothers, Emerie, Abel and Wilfred. Resting at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Sainte-Marie de Kent with visiting hours on Thursday, January 1 from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 2, 2004 at 7 p.m. at Notre-Dame du Mont Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Sainte-Marie de Kent. Interment in Parish Cemetery. Arrangements in care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
