Ernest James Carter 1910 - 2004 KOUCHIBOUGUAC, NB - Ernest James Carter, 93, widowed of Ruby, of Kouchibouguac, NB, passed away on Saturday, January 10, 2004 at the Lions Nursing Home, Rexton. Born on December 2, 1910, in Kouchibouguac, he was the son of the late Robert Carter and Annie (Day) Carter. He attended Knox Presbyterian Church, Kouchibouguac and was a church elder. He is survived by three daughters, Isabel MacDonald (Syd) Salisbury, Esther Melanson (late Henry) of Scoudouc, Shirley Jonah (Henry) both of Moncton; three sons, Willard (Evelyn), Robert (Muriel) both of Moncton, Floyd (Janice) Kouchibouguac; two sisters, Ella Irvine of Saint John and Isabel Ryder of Portland, Maine; 16 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren. Ernest was predeceased by his wife, Ruby in 2003; daughter, Julia in 1974; and by several brothers and sisters. Resting at Knox Presbyterian Church, Kouchibouguac, with visiting hours on Monday, January 12, from noon until time of funeral. Funeral service will be held at Knox Presbyterian Church on Monday, January 12, 2004 at 2 pm with Rev. Fred Douwsma officiating. Interment in the church cemetery in the spring.
