Mrs. Eleanor J. Beek 1942-2004 MIRAMICHI, NB - Mrs. Eleanor Jean Beek, wife of Joseph Beek, of the North Napan Road, Napan, N.B., passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Sunday evening, January 25, 2004, at the age of 61. Born in Chatham, on March 16, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Georgina (Loggie) MacDonald. She was a homemaker; a member of Carmel United Church, Napan; a retired employee of the Dept. of NationalDefense working at the former CFB Chatham, C.E. Section for 22 years. She is survived by her husband Joseph; one son, Harold Beek, of Napan; one sister, Mrs. Shirley Merritt (David), of Napan; one brother, Jack MacDonald, of Burnt Church; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and one infant brother, Beverly MacDonald. Visitation will be held from Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Monday evening, from 7 to 9 pm and Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held from Adams Funeral Home Chapel, on Wednesday, January 28, 2004, conducted by Rev. David Cleveland. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to to the Palliative Care Unit, of the Miramichi Regional Hospital, the Extra Mural Nursing Program, the Oncology Unit of the George Dumont Hospital, Moncton or Carmel United Church, Napan.
