Destiny Leigh Drysdale ROCKLAND, MAINE - The death of Miss Destiny Leigh Drysdale of Rockland, Maine died unexpectedly at the Maine Medical Center, Portland, Maine on Monday, February 2, 2004 at the age of 20. She was the precious child of John A and the late Loriann (Lindsey) Drysdale of Waldoboro, Maine. She graduated from Rockland High School, Rockland, ME with honors in 2001. Eleven years ago she was diagnosed with Marfans Syndrome, a rare genetic disease. She had under gone three major operations in November and December and two weeks ago went through two more operations. She had only come home from the hospital two days before her death. Through all her devastating days, she smiled, laughed, and was determined to come out ahead. Destiny put sunshine in your life if you were having a bad day. She will certainly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Besides her beloved Father, Destiny is survived by her "Mother" Cynthia Drysdale; sister's, Leeann of Waldoboro and Heather and Crystal of Arizona; brothers, Allan and Adam of Waldoboro; maternal grandfather, Robert Lindsey and her fraternal grandmother, Dollypearle Drysdale-Martin of Douglastown, NB; uncles, Charles (Dawn) Drysdale and Family of Brooklyn, NY, James (Eddy) and Nancy Drysdale of Disputanta, VA; several aunts, uncles in Maine; cousins galore in US and Canada; and four nephews in Maine; great uncles, John Hanna of Chatham, NB and Wilbur (Gloria) and Family of Douglastown, NB; great aunts, David and Alice (Hanna) Upton and Family of Drumheller, AB, Mildred (Hanna) Timberlake and Family of Lexington, Mass; and great great aunts, Jean (Hanna) Runge of Carver, Mass and Marion (Hanna) Mills of Chatham, NB. Predeceased by her Mother, Loriann (Lindsey) Drysdale in 1987; grandmother, Lillian Lindsey; grandfather, James Drysdale; great grandparents, Mildred (Wood) and Edgar Martin and Frank and Esther (Wood) Hanna. Funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2004 at 2 P.M. from Halls Funeral Home, Waldoboro, 2004 with interment to be held on her 21st birthday, May 28, 2004 with her mother.
