Irma A. Hicks 1922 - 2004 Irma A. Hicks, age 81, of Moncton, passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2004, at the Moncton Hospital. Born in Moncton on April 6, 1922 she was the only child of Guy and Reta (Tucker) Steeves. She was a wife and mother and an active member of Steeves Memorial United Church where she served as a Sunday School teacher and Explorer Leader. Irma was also a member of the United Church Women, holding the office of Treasurer for many years. She is survived by her husband of 56 years,Talmage; children, Mavis (Ian Parker), Jocelyn (Randy Tyler), both ofHalifax, NS, Derek (Ginette) of Irishtown, NB; grandchildren, Janelle and Laura Tyler, both of Halifax, Daryl and Otis Hicks, both of Red Deer, Alberta, Stefanie Hicks and David Bulmer, both of Irishtown; great grandchild, Daniel, of Alberta. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visitation on Sunday, February 8 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM, the funeral service will be held on Monday, February 9 at 2 PM in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception for Irma's family and friends will follow in the Garden View Family Reception Room of the funeral home. Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations in Irma's memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of New Brunswick, Steeves Memorial United Church or to the charity of the donor's choice.
