Mrs. Anna McCarthy MIRAMICHI, N.B. - The death of Mrs. Anna McCarthy, widow of Stephen McCarthy of St. Patrick's Drive, Nelson Miramichi, NB, occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at the age of 91. Born in Nelson Miramichi, Anna was the daughter of the late Martin and Loretta (McEacheron) McCarthy. She was a homemaker and attended St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church. Anna is survived by five sons, Father Doug McCarthy S.J. of Manitoulin Island, Lake Huron, ON, Brian (Isobel) of Halifax, NS, Timmy (Michaeleen) of Nelson Miramichi, NB, Collin (Jayne) of Lethbridge, AB and Rick of Nelson Miramichi, NB; two sisters, Mary Duffy of Chatham, NB and Catherine (Bill) Usher of Saint John, NB; three sistersin-law, Gladys English, Kathleen English and Theresa McCarthy all of Nelson Miramichi, NB; six grandchildren, Evan, Neal, Megan, Shawn, Thomas and Callie. Predeceased by three brothers, Adrian, Joseph and Mac; and one sister, Helena English. Visitation will be held at Bell's Funeral Home on Friday 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11am from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Nelson, NB. Burial will follow in the Malcolm's Cemetery later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy, memorials may be made to the St. Patrick's Memorial Fund or memorial of one's choice.
