Harry L. Ford MIRAMICHI, NB - The death of the late Harry L. Ford, husband of the late Margaret (Maggie)(Allison) Ford occurred at his late residence on Thursday, March 11, 2004 at the age of 101. He was born in Whitney, NB. He was a self-employed wood contractor and farmer. He was a member of St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church as well as an elder and clerk of session for many years, County Counselor, School Trustee and Committee member of Miramichi Senior Citizens Home. Harry is survived by two daughters, Gertrude Whitney (Ernest) of Whitney, NB; Annie Whitney (Edgar) of Riverview, NB; one son, Harvey (Rita) of New Glasgow, NS; 18 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren and special caregiver, Hazel MacTavish. Besides his wife of 74 years, he is predeceased by two sons, Henry and Hubert, one daughter in law, Eugena and two grandchildren. The family will receive visitors at Bell's Funeral Home on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church, Sunny Corner, NB on Saturday at 2 PM with Rev. Gerald Sarcen officiating assisted by Rev. Cal MacInnis. Burial will take place in the Boom Road Presbyterian Cemetery later in the spring. As expressions of sympathy donations may be made to the St. Stephen's Presbyterian Church Fund or to a memorial of one's choice.
