Alphonse Maillet
Alphonse Maillet Alphonse Maillet, 81, of Barrington Cres., husband of Gisèle Mazerolle, passed away at the Moncton City Hospital, Friday, March 12, 2004 after a lengthy illness. Born in Bouctouche, N.B, on April 22, 1922, he is the son of the late Joseph Maillet and Dina Cormier. He was a carpenter, and attended Notre-Dame de Grace Roman Catholic Church, Moncton, N.B. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch #54, Sunny Brae; he also served in WW II and overseas. Mr. Maillet is survived by his wife Giséle (Mazerolle) Maillet; three daughters, Ella Auffery (John), Rina O'Donnell (Greg), both of Moncton, Dina Turcotte (late Ghislain) SaintQuentin; two sons, Fernand (Célina) of Moncton, Guy (Alice) of Dieppe; two sisters, Thérèse LeBlanc of Moncton, Marie Smith of P.E.I; five brothers, Aurèle (Angeline) of Lavaltrie, Québec, Yvon (Janita), Hervé (Ernestine), Albéo (Dorine) all of Bouctouche, André (Béatrice) of Waltham, Mass; 12 grandchildren, Normand, Daniel, Linda, Michel, Rick, Chantal, Carole, Marco, Nicole, Monique, Megan, James; four great grandchildren, Sébastien, Samuel, Noémie, Raphael; several nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marie Lavoie (1965); two brothers, Joseph Aurèle, Gerard; three sisters, Noella, Marguerite, Rita. Remains resting at Maillet Funeral Home Ltd., Bouctouche. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, March 15, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral service will be held at Notre-Dame de Grace Roman Catholic Church in Moncton on Tuesday, March 16, 2004 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in St. Francois de Sales Roman Catholic Cemetery, Rogersville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Lung Association would be appreciated.
