Francis LeBlanc 1939 - 2004 GRAND-BARACHOIS, NB - Francis LeBlanc, 64, of Grand-Barachois passed away at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Regional Hospital on Monday, March 22, 2004 following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Cap-Pelé, June 1, 1939, he was the son of the late Bliss LeBlanc and the late Marie Richard. He was employed with C.N.R. until his retirement in 1994. He was an amateur golf player and he loved to play his accordion. He was passionate about Louisiana culture and their music. Francis will be sadly missed by his loving family, wife, Marie-Mai (Bourque) LeBlanc; daughters, Francine LeBlanc (Derek) of Grand-Barachois, Maryse Vautour (Mario) of Saint-Anselme; sisters, Majella Gautreau (Rodolphe) of Shediac, Rose-Marie Léger (Freddie Goguen) of Cap-Pelé; brothers, Donald (Andréa) of Dieppe, Fernand (Anna), Roger (Jacinthe), Léon (Janise) and Michel, all of Cap-Pelé, Donat of Texas, Éric of Moncton; grandchildren, Marielle, Alex, Rachelle, Annie and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, he was also predeceased by a brother Norbert. Resting at Frenette Funeral Home Ltd., 396 Main St., Shediac (532-3297) with visitation on Wednesday from 2 to 4p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. and Thursday from 10a.m. until time of departure at 10:40a.m. The funeral mass will be held at St. Henri Roman Catholic Church, Grand-Barachois on Thursday, March 25, 2004 at 11a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
