Mr. Perley Wesley Vye
Mr. Perley Wesley Vye DOUGLASTOWN, NB - Mr. Perley Wesley Vye, of Douglastown, passed away on Wednesday at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 86. Born in Douglastown, Perley was the son of the late Thomas and Rena (MacKenzie) Vye. Perley was a veteran and served for three years with the R.C.N.V.R. Perley was employed as a stationary engineer over 30 years. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10 and a member of the Douglastown Seniors Club. Perley attended St. Mark's United Church in Douglastown. Perley is survived by his wife, Hilda (Urquhart) Vye; two sons, Russell (Nancy), Harold, both of Miramichi; two step daughters, Rosalie (Gregory Dunnett) of Cambridge, Judith (Wayne Mutch) of Lyttleton; four step sons, James Urquhart (Muriel) of Miramichi, Elwin Urquhart (Mercia) of Strathadam, Alton Urguhart (Lorna) of Miramichi, Robert Urquhart (Heather) of Whitney; three sisters, Sadie Matchett, Edith (Laurie Black) both of the Miramichi, Mary of Newbury, Mass; four grandchildren, Amy, Thomas, Michael, Wesley; 22 step grandchildren; 25 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Perley was predeceased by one sister, Hazel and one brother, Robert. The family will receive relatives and friends at Northumberland Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. The members of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #10 are asked to meet at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 7:15 for a legion service. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2p.m. from St. Mark's United Church with Rev. Ross Wiseman officiating assisted by Rev. Ron Feltmate. As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St. Mark's United Church in Douglastown or to a memorial of ones choice.
