E. Irene Brown 1909 - 2004 Irene Brown, 94, formerly of Richmond Avenue, Moncton, passed away peacefully, at the Drew Nursing Home, Sackville, on Wednesday, April 7, 2004. Born in Greenville, NS on August 10, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Harry A. and Jenetta (Herrett) Palmer. She was a life member of the Eastern Star Ch. No. 36, Pearl Rebekah Lodge No 9, a former Pythian Sister and a Member of the Humphrey Memorial United Church. She is survived by her son, Reginald L. Brown (Rowena) of Moncton; a daughter, Doris Smith (Don) of Nepean, ON; sisters, Hilda Darragh of Oxford Jct. NS, Adella Hamel, of Oxford, Grace Fillmore of Mattawa ON, Norma Nix of Collingwood NS, Bonnie Carter (Colin) of Toronto; a brother, Walter Palmer (Renee) of Kingston ON. Also surviving are three grandchildren, six great grand children, three great great grand children, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert L. Brown in 1963; sister, Birdeana Slack; brother, Oscar Palmer and granddaughter, Lynn Pauley in 2003. Resting at Fair Haven Funeral Home, with visiting hours on Good Friday April 9, 2004 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 10, 2004, at 2PM in the Chapel of Fair Haven Funeral Home. A reception for Irene's family and friends will follow in the Garden View Family Reception Room . Interment in Fairhaven Memorial Gardens.
