Thomas Sears MIDGIC, NB - The death of Thomas Sears, age 69, of Midgic, occurred at the Sackville Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 10, 2004. Born in Midgic, he was a son of Olive (Kaye) Sears and the late Cedric Sears. He was a member of the Midgic Baptist Church. Thomas will be sadly missed by his wife, Doreen (Phinney), Midgic; his mother, Olive Sears, Midgic; two sons, Daniel (Haidee) and Christopher (Trina), both of Sackville; a daughter, Melissa (Rob) Cormier, Sackville; four grandchildren, Samuel, Jordan, Benjamin and Piper; eight sisters, Lillian Neal, Hamilton, ON, Gertrude Wheaton, Carolyn (Edmund) LeBlanc and Deborah Arsenault, all of Midgic, Margaret (Vincent) Hicks and Marlene (Ensley) Hicks, both of Saint John, NB, Madonna (Lewis) Wells and Dollie (Leslie) Fillmore, both of Sackville; six brothers, Vaughn (Lucy), Chatham, NB, Weldon, Bernard (Nancy) and Frank (Elaine), all of Midgic, Perry, Jolicure, NB and Garnet (Eleanor), Saint John, NB. He was predeceased by his father, Cedric and a sister, Yvonne. The remains are resting at the Jones Funeral Home, 70 Bridge Street, Sackville (364-1300) with visitation Monday from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, April 14, 2004 at 2 pm, Pastor Hal Lowther officiating. Burial in the Midgic Cemetery at a later date.
